Join us in celebrating the freedom to read! The University of Miami Libraries (UML) commemorates the American Library Association's Banned Books Week with a helpful research guide to banned and challenged works.
About Banned Books
Week
Since 1982, the American Library Association (ALA) has
designated this annual week to raise awareness of banned and challenged books
and the consequences of censorship. Banned Books Week 2020, the annual
celebration of the freedom to read, will be held from September 27 through
October 3. This year's theme, “Censorship Is a Dead End,” is a reminder that
we need to fight censorship to “Find Our Freedom to Read.” Learn more about UM Libraries' celebration of
Banned Books Week.
