With joy and insatiable curiosity Jay I. Kislak spent more than 60 years committed to gathering material that spans more than three millennia of the history and cultures of the Americas. The University of Miami, together with Miami Dade College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Library of Congress are the caretakers of his collecting legacy. This talk will present selection of items and discuss how the collection grew, how it is been used, and expanding possibilities in the UM community.
