Dr. Sandra Paquet of the University of Miami English Dept. introduces English professor Dr. Shari Benstock, who celebrates the history of the CWSI program. She speaks about the craft of translation and introduces Cuban author and scholar Antonio Benitez Rojo, who reads his lecture "Translating the Caribbean Rhythm." The speech was delivered on June 27, 1996. It is concluded with twenty minutes of questions and answers between Benitez Rojo and the audience.
