Video of a party in a private home, apparently celebrating the end of the Caribbean Writers Summer Institute in 1991. Most of the video is footage of people enjoying the party. A few participants in the program speak briefly about their experience at the Institute, including Cynthia James, Marina Taitt (who reads a piece she wrote entitled "Caribbean Writers Institute 1991"), and Michael Anthony. George Lamming also speaks for several minutes about his experiene living in the United States and praises Zach Bowen, the chair of the University of Miami English Department, and the CWSI. Later in the video, Bowen plays piano and sings. Also visible at the party are other CWSI participants and instructors, including Robert Anthoni, Jean Goulbourne, Geoffrey Philp, Zee Edgell, Velma Pollard, Kwadwo Kamau, Edward Baugh, and Kamau Brathwaite.
