Caroline gives an interview about her life and experiences as a military wife and mother. Her husband is a retired Navy Reserve Public Affairs Officer. She has lived in San Diego, Hawaii, Knoxville, Atlanta, and New Orleans. She speaks highly of her time while living on military bases and recalls many rewarding years as a Navy wife in her role as Ombudsman. She has two grown sons, Matthew and Timothy. Caroline speaks of Timothy, who joined the Marine Corps after high school. She emotionally describes Timothy’s wish come true to salute his dad at his Marine Corps graduation ceremony, while both were in uniform. She explains a high point while stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina, recalling a base sign referring to the sound of freedom as military planes fly overhead. Caroline draws a theme from her experience of as a warmama, as the power of prayer and miracles. Timothy served in Northern Iraq for four tours and twice in Afghanistan. Caroline credits her faith in God and the power of prayer as what carried her through as a military mom and recommends to keep a journal.
