This is a roundtable of three mothers of soldiers serving in Afghanistan and in the Middle East. They met for lunch to talk about their common experiences such as how they became involved in organizations that support the troops, how they feel about the mass media and public opinion when they talk about American soldiers, and how that has affected their emotions over a long time. Also this roundtable deals with the support they have given to their sons at all time even if they don't agree with their sons being in any war. The three mothers talk about how they deal with their fears and concerns for their sons lives, but also how their pride and the patriotism they feel for the United States is very important. Finally, they mention how they seek for support from other women, prayer groups, social groups, and spiritual retreats to accept their sons' decisions with pride.
